    These clinics operate under a sliding scale fee model. This means that services may not be free depending on your income. You will be required to prove financial need in order to receive free services or services at a reduced cost. Even if you have no insurance you can be covered. These health centers provide family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health (OB/GYN), integrated behavioral health, diagnostic radiology & mammography, dental, and financial counseling/benefits enrollment.

    The Bread of Healing Clinics are free medical clinics designed to serve low-income people who experience barriers to accessing ongoing health care.     Walker’s Point Community Clinic is the largest free clinic in Wisconsin and has been caring for people who are low income, immigrants, refugees and underserved in the Milwaukee community for more than 25 years. We specialize in providing multilingual, culturally sensitive care. We provide care if you do not have health insurance and face barriers to accessing care.

    Services include urgent, primary, preventive, specialty and mental health care. We request and greatly appreciate small donations toward the cost of your care, but we will never turn you away if you are unable to contribute.

Everyone is welcome and no one is turned away for care. Urgent and same day appointments are available at our Chavez Clinic and our Parkway Clinic. It’s best to call and make an appointment to make sure you’re able to be seen, but walk-ins are accepted. Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers provides a wide range of healthcare services to meet the needs of individuals and families. Their offerings include family medicine and pediatric care, ensuring comprehensive care for patients of all ages. They also specialize in managing chronic conditions, offer a pharmacy for convenient access to medications, and run residency clinics where care is provided by resident doctors under supervision. For expectant mothers, they offer pregnancy services and prenatal care.     Milwaukee Health Services offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services to meet the diverse needs of the community. Their Family Medicine department provides general healthcare for individuals of all ages, while Ancillary Services support various medical needs. The center also offers Behavioral Health Services to assist with mental health and wellness, as well as an HIV Early Intervention Program for early detection and treatment. For oral health, they provide a range of Oral Health Services, including preventive and restorative care. Pediatric Services are available to address the health needs of children, and Podiatry care is offered for foot and lower leg health. The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program supports the nutritional needs of pregnant women, new mothers, and young children.     Saturday Clinic for the Uninsured is a primary care clinic run by medical and pharmacy students that offers free health services to the uninsured patients of Milwaukee. Primary care and specialty appointments are available. We see patients by virtual Telehealth appointments during the week. We offer in-person visits on Saturday mornings from 8-11 a.m. Please call to schedule an appointment.

    The Saturday Clinic offers a variety of essential health services, including the management of chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. Patients can access free or discounted prescription medication refills and receive pharmacy consultations for personalized guidance. Social work consultations are available to support broader patient needs. The clinic provides lab orders for routine laboratory work and for sexually transmitted infection screenings, including HIV testing, which are performed at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital. Additionally, routine health maintenance physicals and screenings, such as Pap smears, are offered to help patients maintain overall wellness. 

    The Saturday Clinic offers a range of in-house specialty services, available by appointment only, to address diverse patient needs. These services include Allergy, Cardiology, Dermatology for skin care, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology (GI), and General Surgery. Additionally, Gynecology services provide comprehensive women’s health exams, and Hand Surgery offers specialized care for hand-related issues. Hematology, Neurology, Ophthalmology (eye care), and Otolaryngology (ENT) address further specialized health concerns. Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Psychiatry for mental health services, Rheumatology, and Urology are also available, ensuring well-rounded specialty care for patients.
