For over 30 years, the CARS Department of Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services has proudly served adults living with substance use and mental health disorders. They provide a range of supportive services to Milwaukee County residents that are rooted in compassion and dignity. Their goal is to eliminate barriers to behavioral health services and increase our community's ability to thrive. Services include Individual Placement Services (IPS), (IPS Spanish), peer specialist support, spiritual guidance, supported employment, parenting assistance, anger management, domestic violence services, clubhouse programs, drop-in centers, and physical health monitoring. In addition to the Recovery Support Services offered through CARS, CARS believes it is important for you or your loved one to also make meaningful connections with the people around you and within the community. These connections are just as important as the clinical treatment provided under our care. Please visit the CARS website or call (414) 289-6085 for more information or to schedule an assessment.

The Asha Project, Inc. (Asha) believes in the existence and provision of culturally specific methods to better address the elimination of gender-based violence including the sexual exploitation of women and children in African American communities. Our belief is that in order to adequately address family and intimate partner violence and promote healthy living, we must address the truths of historical and daily life trauma experiences of the community. Further, we believe that we must simultaneously confront intersecting racialized socioeconomic and other factors that contribute to or aggravate violence and abuse between intimates, in homes and in the community.
