The Cathedral Center provides emergency shelter and case management services for single women and families with children who are homeless or experiencing a housing crisis. Families served include single mothers or fathers, as well as married couples with children. All parents entering the shelter with children must provide proof of custody prior to admission. -

Sojourner Family Peace Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin, serving nearly 8,000 clients each year. Established in 1975, Sojourner provides an array of support aimed at helping families affected by domestic violence achieve safety, justice and well-being.

The Family Support Center & the Milwaukee Women’s Center, provide emergency shelter and supportive care to two groups who are especially vulnerable: women and children who have survived domestic violence, and families with children who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their home.
